Franz Witte Landscape Contracting, Inc. in Idaho is seeking a seasoned finance leader to own the accounting function, ensure accurate reporting, and drive budgeting and forecasting.

You will lead the accounting team, coordinate with external partners, and help shape financial strategy for a growing, seasonal landscape company. You will implement and maintain robust financial systems, ensure compliance across payroll and tax reporting, and provide insights to guide leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and job-cost accounting.
• Experience implementing and maintaining accounting software and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and related reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical financial insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate at all levels; bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.
• Experience leading a team and managing priorities with confidentiality.
• CPA, CMA or MBA credentials are welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own all financial accounting systems, workflows and related processes.
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements, rolling forecasts and key reports.
• Collaborate with ownership to develop annual budgets.
• Interpret data trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Lead monthly and annual accounting close processes.
• Maintain internal controls to protect assets and ensure reliable reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial, payroll and tax reporting.
• Lead, train and mentor accounting and administrative staff.
• Coordinate with external tax, banking and insurance partners.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
