Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to administer general accounting practices, oversee cost accounting and budgeting, and prepare financial reports for management. You will supervise staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and coordinate with auditors to support year-end processes.

The role requires 4–7 years in financial/cost accounting and a Bachelor's in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA/CMA is preferred or pursued if not held.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
• CPA or CMA is preferred; pursuit required if not held.
• 4-7 years of experience in financial and/or cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger records accurately.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
• Oversee budgeting, cost accounting and variance analyses.
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and year-end procedures.
• Maintain fixed assets records and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare budget analyses and performance reports.
• Ensure tax compliance with state laws.
