Job summary

Midwest Groundcovers is seeking a Full Time Controller in Saint Charles, IL to lead the Finance and Accounting teams. The role focuses on financial leadership, reporting integrity, and strategic decision support for growth and sustainability.

The Controller will manage budgeting, cash flow, cost accounting, and internal controls, while partnering with ownership and senior leadership to drive profitability and long-term strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA, MBA, CMA or similar strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and business leadership at senior levels.
• Experience partnering with ownership, boards, lenders, and external auditors.
• Experience operating in ERP systems and with automation or significant business systems initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership and strategic direction for the organization.
• Oversee accounting operations, budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Drive governance, internal controls, and financial stewardship.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve margins and performance.
• Partner with ownership and leadership to develop 3–5 year plans and strategic risks.
