Job summary

Capital One in McLean, VA seeks a Principal Associate, Financial Analysis – GPN to advise on long term strategic investments within the Global Payments Network Tech Finance Team.

You will develop repeatable frameworks, stand up reporting cadences with Tech and Finance partners, and deliver insights to senior leaders as finance aligns with platform initiatives. This role requires executive communication and cross-functional collaboration to influence priorities and drive fiscally sound decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience in financial analysis.
• At least 3 years’ experience with financial modeling.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• MBA or MBA preferred.
• CFA license or CPA license preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis.
• 4+ years’ experience with financial modeling.
• 3+ years’ experience in strategic analysis & planning.

Responsibilities

• Financial analysis & reporting: analyze key cost drivers, explain variances, and manage regular reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Develop business presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences.
• Prioritize workload and handle ad-hoc requests and special projects.
