Job summary

TGS ASA is seeking a skilled Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a designated business area. You will work with senior controllers to ensure data accuracy, timely delivery, and insightful analyses that inform business decisions.

Responsibilities include preparing schedules for monthly and quarterly reviews, maintaining dashboards, and communicating financial information clearly across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering inputs, preparing templates, and updating models.
• Ensure data accuracy and alignment with business assumptions under guidance from senior finance colleagues.
• Track financial results and compare performance to plan/forecast.
• Conduct initial variance analysis and flag key issues or trends for review.
• Prepare supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly reviews.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
• Maintain reporting files and ensure quality, timeliness, and completeness in submissions to Corporate.
• Provide data, analyses, and insights to business leaders on request.
• Participate in discussions by supplying clear and reliable financial information.
• Support initiatives and projects led by senior Business Controllers.
