Job summary

South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity in Olympia, WA seeks a Finance and Administration Director (Sr Director DOQ) to lead financial strategy, budgeting, HR, and organizational policy. Reporting to the CEO, this role oversees audits, compliance, and a mortgage/retail operations framework while guiding a growing nonprofit.

Strong GAAP knowledge and nonprofit finance experience are essential. The position supports a hybrid work arrangement with occasional remote work and is based at our Olympia

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, business administration, or closely related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in finance; nonprofit or construction finance preferred.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in human resources; supervisory experience.
• Two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting; experience with audits.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and HR systems; ability to implement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure strong internal controls, reporting, and compliance.
• Manage HR processes, onboarding, performance evaluations, and compensation.
• Lead policy development and training, mitigate organizational risk.
• Supervise accounting, payroll, grant billing, and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with CEO and leadership to scale operations and growth.
