Job summary

LCUB (Lenoir City Utilities Board) seeks a Director of Finance & Administrative Operations to lead Finance and Customer Service, ensuring fiscal responsibility, compliance, and strategic financial planning for a multi-department utility serving ~80,000 customers.

The role requires a strong background in GAAP/GASB, budgeting, and ERP systems, with experience in change management and building collaborative cultures across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years in finance/accounting; experience in Electric and multi-department utilities preferred, supervisory/leadership experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, budget forecasting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software and reporting systems.
• Intermediate-to-Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based application systems is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in change management and developing a culture of innovation and collaboration among different work groups.
• Working knowledge of CSA or ERP systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, or SAP preferred.
