Sent, Inc. is seeking its first Strategic Finance hire to own the financial model and drive planning cycles while partnering with the leadership team to improve decision-making and data quality.

You will shape growth strategy, investment decisions, and long-term financial planning, ensuring credible forecasting and scalable reporting as the company scales in NYC.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or a similarly analytical role at a high-growth company.
• Strong financial modeling skills with ownership of models from scratch.
• Ability to translate complex data into a clear narrative for non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to fundraising, board reporting, or investor relations.

Responsibilities

• Own Sent's financial model end-to-end, including revenue, headcount, expenses and cash flow.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-range scenario planning.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner to leaders across the company to structure decisions.
• Build reporting and performance-tracking infrastructure for leadership alignment.
• Develop business cases and scenarios for new investments and hiring plans.
• Analyze vendor spend, headcount costs, and infrastructure expenses to support budgeting decisions.
• Create reporting cadence and templates for board decks and monthly reviews.

Sent is an infrastructure for sending A2P messages across SMS, WhatsApp, and RCS through a single unified API. Our intelligent routing model automates channel selection based on deliverability and cost, ensuring lower cost and global reach without any channel-specific integrations.

We recently closed a $12M Series A backed by Companyon Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, UIF, and others. We're hiring to build the best infrastructure to replace multi-channel messaging stacks.

About the Role

We're looking for our first Strategic Finance hire - someone who has come up through investment banking, private equity, or a high-growth startup and genuinely enjoys the operational side of finance as much as the analytical one. You might be a banker who's been itching to get inside a company and support better decisions from the inside, a PE associate ready for something more entrepreneurial, or a startup finance person who's ready to go deeper. Whatever the path, you're someone who can turn a messy spreadsheet and a room full of competing priorities into a clear point of view.

You'll work directly alongside our leadership team to own our financial model, drive planning cycles, and help every team make smarter decisions with better data. You'll help shape how Sent thinks about growth, investment, and long-term strategy.

What You'll Do

• Own Sent's financial model end-to-end: revenue, headcount, expenses, and cash flow - keeping it current, credible, and actually used
• Drive planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range scenario planning
• Become a trusted thought partner for leaders across the company, helping them structure decisions and tradeoffs through clear financial framing
• Build the reporting and performance tracking infrastructure that keeps leadership aligned on where we are versus plan, and where the biggest risks and opportunities live
• Develop business cases and scenario analyses for new investments, strategic bets, and hiring plans - giving leadership the structured framing they need to move fast
• Analyze vendor spend, headcount costs, and infrastructure expenses to support budgeting decisions
• Build the reporting cadence and templates that will scale as the company grows: board decks, monthly business reviews, department-level P&Ls

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or a similarly analytical role at a high-growth company
• Strong financial modeling skills - you've owned a model, not just inherited one. You're fast, precise, and comfortable building from scratch
• The ability to translate complex data into a clear narrative and get stakeholders who don't live in spreadsheets to actually act on what you're showing them
• Exposure to fundraising, board reporting, or investor relations
• You operate with low oversight and high output - you figure out what's needed, build it, and keep moving
