Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Field Based Medical Science Liaison to execute external engagement strategy across therapy areas and to collaborate with medical, R&D, and commercial partners in the US field. The role focuses on identifying key external experts, delivering compliant information, and advancing scientific exchange in real-world settings.

You will maintain deep therapeutic area expertise, support clinical development and investigator-sponsored studies, and provide scientific training

Qualifications

• PA, NP, MSN or advanced medical degree (with a medical or clinical focus)
• Two or more years' experience in pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans and has experience practically applying this knowledge in a clinical setting.
• Must live within territory specified

Responsibilities

• Identify External Experts, professional groups, decision makers and key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area or geography
• Respond to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding GSK medicines and indications with factual, fair and balanced information
• Disseminate safety information to healthcare professionals per guidance and inform education on approved uses
• Maintain expertise in evolving therapeutic areas and competitor medicines
• Attend regional account planning and training sessions and contribute as needed
• Attend national and regional scientific/medical meetings to gather data and insights
• Support clinical development activities and investigator sponsored studies with R&D
• Conduct meetings with steering committees and advisory boards on research topics with GSK involvement
• Provide scientific training for GSK sales reps and educate HCPs to speak on behalf of GSK
• Collaborate with matrix teams to align patient care with business strategy and external expert engagement
