HighPoint seeks a Communications Specialist to serve as a strategic communications partner, developing and delivering clear, accessible, and impactful communications for DCDDP programs and outcomes.

The role involves creating outreach materials, coordinating NOFO development, and supporting leadership with decision-support resources. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, with experience in federal grants and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in communications.
• Travel up to 10–20% of time.

Responsibilities

• Lead NOFO development, revisions, launches, and closeouts.
• Develop briefing materials and decision-support resources.
• Coordinate applicant support activities and grant databases.
• Manage peer review processes and documentation quality.
• Design outreach strategies to reach underserved communities.
• Create educational resources, webinars, and guidance materials.
• Develop communication and marketing strategies for program outcomes.
• Produce press releases, reports, white papers, and website content.
• Develop dashboards and digital resources to show program impact.
• Ensure all materials meet accessibility requirements (Section 508).
