Job summary

2ndWave LLC is seeking a Senior Accounting and Controls Consultant to support Federal clients in the Washington, DC area. The Senior Manager will lead accounting and controls efforts, ensuring compliance with FMFIA, A-123, and related regulations.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in federal financial accounting and controls, with strong leadership, reporting, and analytical abilities. CPA/CGFM/PMP are highly desired. This is a W-2 role based in DC with compensation focused on market ranges.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of federal financial accounting and controls experience at Manager level or 12+ years at Senior Manager level
• Proven ability to lead/manage teams on FMFIA, A-123, audit readiness, and FFMIA projects
• Strong report writing and deliverable synthesis skills
• Familiarity with data analytics and AI in evaluating internal controls

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage federal financial accounting and controls initiatives
• Consolidate and synthesize information into reports and deliverables
• Provide sound, actionable recommendations to clients
• Apply data analytics and AI methods to assess and improve internal controls
