Job summary

Hunter Douglas, the world’s leading manufacturer of window coverings, seeks a Senior Fabrication Planner to lead site planning and material readiness across manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.

You will own material planning, manage MRP, and drive continuous improvement to ensure on-time production and optimal inventory, partnering with engineering and customer service. This role offers significant cross-functional impact in our Utah operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning or materials management.
Advanced SAP planning experience including MRP execution and inventory management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with cross-functional collaboration.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Ability to lead meetings and communicate action items clearly.

Responsibilities

Own site fabrication planning activities to ensure material availability.
Review SAP MRP exception messages to maintain planning accuracy.
Collaborate with production to prioritize fabrication orders based on commitments.
Monitor material flow from suppliers to manufacturing.
Coordinate recovery plans for shortages, late deliveries, and delays.
Lead daily material availability meetings and communicate risks.
Drive improvements to planning parameters and master data.
Audit planning processes and analyze inventory variances.
Support Lean and Kaizen initiatives.
