The D. E. Shaw group seeks a leader for its Financial Analysis & Reporting (FA&R) team within Financial insights to support strategic decision-making across the firm.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, shape financial planning processes, and drive improvements in analytical capabilities and reporting standards. Eight or more years of experience in strategic finance, excellent communication skills, and a discreet approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in strategic finance or related roles in asset management or investment banking.
• Proficiency in financial modeling with hands-on strategic and detailed work.
• Excellent communication, ability to present to senior audiences.
• Discretion and professionalism handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects to address key business strategy questions via financial analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts with robust scenario planning and budgeting.
• Create recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for senior leadership; translate results into insights.
• Assess drivers of revenue, expenses, capital needs, and other financial outcomes.
• Build scalable models, tools, and reporting frameworks to improve data quality and decision support.
