International, based in Lisle, Illinois, seeks an External Communications Lead to shape and protect the company’s reputation while building a modern earned media function across North America and globally.

The role combines strategic advisory with hands-on journalism liaison, media engagement and thought leadership to elevate the company’s voice in business, trade and mainstream media.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of communications experience.
• At least 1 year of lead experience.
• Master's degree and at least 3 years of communications experience.
• At least 1 year of lead experience.

Responsabilidades

• Execute a proactive earned media and reputation strategy aligned with International's priorities.
• Position International as a credible voice in commercial transportation's digital and sustainable future.
• Develop relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
• Pitch and place stories across business, trade, regional and national media.
• Develop thought leadership opportunities and byline placements.
• Prepare executives and spokespeople for media engagements with messaging and Q&A materials.
• Write and edit press releases, media advisories, pitches, and executive messaging.
• Manage the announcement calendar and align earned media with broader priorities.
• Coordinate with internal communications and external agencies on content calendars.
• Serve as internal expert on media landscape and earned media strategy.
