Job summary

Uncommon New York City Charter Schools is seeking a Manager of External Affairs—Governance & Communications to strengthen governance, policy, and stakeholder engagement across NYC. Based in Brooklyn with in-person requirements, you will collaborate with the NYC Board of Trustees and school leaders to tell our story and support regional partnerships.

You will manage governance processes, oversee regional communications, and lead planning, data analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Governance & Board Partnership: coordinate Board communications, onboarding, and visits.
• Communications & Stakeholder Engagement: manage regional social media and coordinate school content.
• Planning & Project Management: develop tools and ensure deliverables meet goals.
• Data Analysis & Storytelling: translate data into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
• Support advocacy and family/community engagement across NYC External Affairs.
