Qualifications

• Extensive experience in communications or public relations, preferably within the education sector or nonprofit.
• Established community relationships in Iowa, specifically Cedar Rapids and Davenport.
• Ability to travel frequently across the Iowa region.

Responsibilities

• Monitor school enrollment and collaborate with leaders to meet targets.
• Create comprehensive communication strategies for stakeholders.
• Cultivate relationships with local media for positive coverage.
• Lead community engagement efforts, organizing outreach events.
• Engage with government officials and stakeholders to advocate for the charter school.
• Lead fundraising efforts to secure financial support.
• Track and analyze effectiveness of community engagement and fundraising.
• Collaborate with external partners to align efforts with strategic priorities.
• Stay informed on communication trends and best practices.
