North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC seeks an Events & Programs Manager to lead planning, sourcing venues, budgeting, and vendor coordination for statewide programs. You will oversee end-to-end event execution, AV setups, branding, and facility layouts, with collaboration across communications and leadership teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5+ years of experience in organizing large conferences or multi-location events, plus strong negotiation and catering

Qualifications

• Experience negotiating business contracts and managing vendors.
• Familiarity with hotel contracts and complex program budgets.
• Ability to coordinate catering for large events.

Responsibilities

• Source off-campus venues and lead contract negotiations.
• Forecast and manage event budgets across programs.
• Plan and execute end-to-end events, incl. logistics and AV needs.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure service quality.
• Set event standards and approve catering decisions.
• Direct on-site operations and handle emergencies.
• Coordinate with communications and regional staff.
• Ensure compliance with funding rules and reporting.
