Job summary

Qualifications

• Recognized expert in epidemiology with responsibility for policy and objective setting.
• Provide advice for contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements relevant to the program.
• Offer epidemiological guidance to resolve technical issues hindering program delivery.
• Lead workload distribution among staff based on workflow and skills.
• Serve as project coordinator and allocate resources for epidemiologic projects.
• Design and initiate epidemiologic studies, surveys, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the recognized expert in epidemiology for the agency with responsibility for developing policy and objectives, appraising programs, and initiating requirements for epidemiological studies.
• Provide advice and assistance for the development of contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements for professional, laboratory, or other services pertinent to the program, project, or study.
• Provide epidemiological advice and/or assistance in the resolution of technical problems and issues that include significant barriers to program or project delivery.
• Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
• Serve as a project coordinator and recommend resources for epidemiologic projects.
• Design, plan, and initiate epidemiologic studies, surveys, and investigations.
