The DDS Companies is seeking an Environmental Permitting Lead in Canonsburg, PA to guide complex permitting across infrastructure, utility, and renewable projects. You will translate environmental requirements into actionable strategies, collaborating with clients, agencies, and internal teams.

Responsibilities include leading permitting efforts, managing risks, coordinating with agencies, and mentoring staff to ensure quality project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of environmental consulting and project management experience.
• Experience navigating federal, state, and local environmental permitting processes.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Lead permitting strategy from planning through approval for utility, infrastructure, renewable energy, and development projects.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, subconsultants, and internal teams.
• Anticipate permitting risks and keep projects moving toward approval.
• Track performance, manage documentation, and report on project lifecycle.
• Represent DDS in agency meetings, stakeholder discussions, and reviews.
