What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify purchase requisitions by comparing requested items to issued Bill of Materials and recommending alternatives when necessary
- Prepare and issue purchase orders while managing online databases of materials ordered, received, and delivered
- Obtain quotes and negotiate costs with vendors to align with margin goals
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery to appropriate parties
- Communicate professionally with vendors and clients via phone and email
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2+ years of previous experience in a purchasing environment
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Exceptional customer focus and the ability to work under pressure
- Advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
