Job summary

Virginia Tech is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Recruitment in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to lead enrollment initiatives across undergraduate, graduate, and associate programs. The role reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and focuses on strategic promotion to grow incoming student numbers.

The position requires strong relationship-building with students and families, expertise in social media advertising, and the ability to manage complex recruitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in recruitment or admissions.
• Ability to coordinate events or student-facing programming.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for student/family engagement.
• Knowledge of social media advertising strategies and management.
• Ability to supervise student interns.
• Experience in complex project management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently without excessive supervision.
• Flexible to work evenings/weekends and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities
