Job summary

AMD is seeking a Manager of Indirect Procurement for Engineering Categories to lead a team of strategic sourcing managers and buyers. You will drive multi-year category strategies for engineering spend, negotiate complex technology agreements, and optimize third‑party IP licensing, EDA software, and outsourced services.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing or indirect procurement for engineering functions.
• Proven results negotiating large technology agreements, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech.
• Fluency with licensing constructs: enterprise agreements, royalties, and consumption-based terms.
• Experience with acquisitions, divestitures, and entity separations.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, Ariba Sourcing, and procurement analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-year category strategies for engineering spend and identify savings.
• Lead end-to-end negotiations: renewals, licenses, and supplier terms.
• Build cost models and benchmark against alternatives across suppliers.
• Own IP contracting and manage governance, approvals, and sign-off.
• Redesign outsourcing models toward fixed-cost deliverables with metrics.
• Drive supplier performance management and quarterly scorecards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and IT on targets.
