The Strategic Engagement Director – Wholesale & Supply Chain plays a key leadership role within Argano’s Oracle Business Unit. This individual is responsible for shaping and executing industry-focused strategy, driving solution innovation, and supporting go-to-market efforts targeting wholesale distribution and supply chain-centric organizations. This role supports the transition of clients from on-premise ERP to Oracle Cloud applications, spanning ERP, SCM, CX, OTM, WMS and EPM in the supply chain space. High level knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI/OIC) is also required.
This individual collaborates with clients, Oracle product teams, internal stakeholders, and Argano’s cross-functional teams to ensure that Argano’s Oracle solutions are tailored to solve industry-specific challenges. Ideal candidates will bring deep Oracle expertise, experience leading change management, and a consultative mindset to support projects ranging from medium privately held businesses to larger and up-market enterprises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Industry Focus
- Contribute to and evolve Argano’s strategy for the wholesale and supply chain vertical, identifying market shifts, client needs, and Oracle solution alignment.
- Develop strategic IP, frameworks, and go-to-market content to differentiate Argano’s offerings in this space.
- Collaborate with Oracle sales, product, and industry teams to co-develop and promote joint value propositions when called upon.
Client Engagement & Solution Strategy
- Act as an industry SME in client-facing roles including steering committees, solution design sessions, and executive presentations.
- Guide clients through digital transformation journeys, specifically migrating from legacy on-prem ERP systems to Oracle Cloud.
- Support change management planning and communication strategies where applicable.
Sales Support & Business Development
- Partner with Argano’s Sales and Pre-Sales teams to support RFPs, client workshops, estimation, statements of work and sales presentations.
- Contribute to pipeline growth on new business opportunities by building trusted advisor relationships with prospective clients.
- Help close business through effective industry experience contribution, solution design, delivery acumen, and executive presence.
Delivery Leadership
- Participate as an executive stakeholder in delivery engagements to ensure solution integrity and client satisfaction.
- Serve as an escalation point and steering committee member for key client projects.
- Ensure strategic alignment between delivery teams and the client's business goals.
- Participate in and guide project PMO teams through methodology, resource, timeline, budget, and scope expectations aligning with the project statement of work.
- Engage and assist the project managers as part of the project Governance team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
- MBA or other relevant master’s degree preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in industry strategy, consulting, professional services, or solution leadership roles with a focus on wholesale distribution, supply chain, or logistics.
- Deep hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud applications including ERP, SCM, and EPM.
- Demonstrated success supporting or leading cloud transformation initiatives (OIC/OCI required).
- Familiarity with mid to up-market business dynamics and solution delivery for both medium to large-sized enterprises.
- Experience in change management or organizational readiness is highly beneficial.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strategic Planning: Ability to define vertical strategy, assess market opportunities, and adapt to evolving industry needs.
- Client Engagement: Strong consultative skills, executive presence, and ability to influence client decisions.
- Oracle Expertise: Understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ERP/SCM/EPM modules, and their applicability in wholesale, distribution, and supply chain environments.
- Thought Leadership: Capable of authoring industry POVs, presenting at conferences, and representing Argano in executive forums.
- Business Development: Experience supporting sales teams, building pipelines, and influencing deal closure.
- Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, delivery, and alliances teams.
- Deliverable Oversight: Ensure quality and timeliness of client-facing deliverables, including proposals, strategies, and transformation roadmaps.
- Change Management: Experience guiding clients through process, technology, and organizational change.
TRAVEL & WORK ELIGIBILITY
- Travel is typically around 25% but up to 50% based on client and business needs.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
