Job summary

The Kresge Foundation in Detroit seeks an Investment Director to join the Investment Office, guiding asset allocation and manager selection for the endowment. You will work with senior team members to shape strategy and implement plans across diverse asset classes.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree or CFA, have 7+ years of experience, and excel in analytical thinking and clear communication with governance committees and external partners.

Qualifications

• Masters degree and/or CFA required.
• At least 7 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Investment Committee members and sophisticated investment professionals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Globally source, access and recommend prospective investment managers across asset classes.
• Manage external investment manager relationships across multiple continents.
• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities including strategy, process and performance.
• Prepare and present recommendations for new opportunities to the Investment Committee.
• Guide asset allocation and portfolio construction with the investment team.
• Analyze market trends to inform allocation decisions.
• Represent the Foundation at industry conferences and meetings.
