Job summary

Bowie State University seeks an Employer Partnerships and Experiential Opportunities Specialist to build employer and community partnerships and create employment and experiential learning opportunities for students and alumni.

Under the Assistant Director, you will coordinate partnerships, promote jobs and internships, support recruitment events, integrate opportunities into curriculum, and report outcomes using Handshake and other systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, counseling, education, higher education, human resources, management, psychology, social work or related field.
• Three (3) years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of employer relations and experiential learning in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and sustain a portfolio of employer and community partnerships to expand employment and experiential learning opportunities for students and alumni.
• Schedule consultations with partners, assess needs, and design partnership plans.
• Assist with posting and marketing employment opportunities through Handshake and related systems.
• Administer surveys and collect data to evaluate partnerships and outcomes.
• Meet with students and alumni to provide guidance and support.
