Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Strategic Commodity Manager, Electronics to leverage electronics and PCBA spend and develop a sourcing strategy that ensures continuity of supply while optimizing costs and service.

You will lead global negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements. Ideally based near Whitsett, NC or Reynosa, MX, but remote for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
• 7+ years of equivalent working experience in electronics/PCBA sourcing.
• Global purchasing experience with supplier negotiation and international sourcing.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall electronics commodity sourcing strategy.
• Total cost and relationship ownership for electronics & PCBA suppliers.
• Develop and maintain long-term supplier relationships for lowest total cost and high quality.
• Manage global negotiations and supply agreements with electronics suppliers.
• Monitor market conditions to optimize performance and ensure continuity of supply.
• Maintain market knowledge and supply capabilities across regions.
• Collaborate with operations to support supply base and customers.
• Drive best-in-class supply chain practices across North America and global peers.
