Salcomp Manufacturing USA in San Jose, CA or Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead multi-year sourcing for PCBA, sensors, connectors, and high-reliability components. You will partner with Hardware R&D and NPI teams to drive standard component selection, eliminate single-source bottlenecks, and accelerate prototype-to-volume manufacturing.

Formación

• Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical discipline (Electrical/Electronics degree strongly preferred).
• Industry Experience: 5+ years of direct strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management experience with electronic components within robotics/automation/high-tech industries.
• Domain Expertise: Deep technical and market understanding of PCBA, custom cable harnesses, high-speed connectors, and perception sensors (LiDAR, vision systems, ToF, IMUs).
• EMS & Manufacturing Management: Experience with global electronic component manufacturers, distributors, and EMS partners.
• Commercial Mastery: Expertise in MSAs, SOWs, VPAs, cost structure analysis, and global supply agreements.
• Location & Availability: Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Jose, CA or Austin, TX with travel.
• Systems & Tools: Proficiency with ERP/MRP (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and PLM (Agile, Arena).

Responsabilidades

• Strategic Commodity Management: Formulate and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for critical electronic commodities.
• Supplier Evaluation & Sourcing: Onboard tier-1 and specialized suppliers for high-reliability robotics.
• Early Engineering & NPI Integration: Collaborate with Hardware R&D during design phases to drive standard component selection and mitigate bottlenecks.
• Commercial Negotiations & Contracts: Lead MSAs, pricing, lead times, payment terms, and inventory models.
• Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Drive TCO reductions and design-for-cost initiatives across high-complexity electronics.
• Supply Chain Resiliency & Risk Management: Monitor market dynamics, lead times, EOL, and multi-sourcing plans.
• Supplier Quality & Performance: Establish KPIs and drive supplier improvements with SQE.
