Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety, Transportation & Compliance Specialist to support Pennsylvania and New Jersey operations from Norristown, PA or Somerset, NJ. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, safety culture, and continuous improvement across field and facility teams.

The position reports to the Northeast Regional EHST Manager and offers a base salary of $80,000–$100,000 USD with eligibility for a variable bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, OSHA standards, and transportation safety regulations.
• Experience developing and conducting training.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Skilled at working independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work in diverse environments, including office settings and field locations.
• Capable of interacting effectively with state and federal regulatory inspectors.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operational teams to drive risk reduction through heat mapping and targeted plans.
• Assess risks of new and existing work and respond to client emergency events to protect health and safety.
• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS and transportation programs with Operations and Compliance.
• Revise policies in response to regulatory changes and lessons learned.
• Lead safety initiatives through inspections, risk assessments, and HASP development.
• Coordinate EHS audits to identify compliance gaps and improvements.
• Ensure inspection readiness for 10-day and TSDF facilities at all times.
• Lead safety meetings with leadership, office, and field personnel.
• Oversee the behavioral observation program and data usage for engagement.
• Support data systems like Intelex, SharePoint, Samsara, Fleetio and incident reporting.
• Lead incident investigations and causal analysis using HOP principles.
• Track CAPAs from incidents and audits for timely completion.
• Conduct industrial hygiene assessments and exposure evaluations.
• Manage regulatory permit renewals and reporting; maintain vehicle permits.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness training and drills.
• Coordinate internal training on RCRA, CAA, CWA, DOT, OSHA and FMCSA.
• Support medical surveillance and drug/alcohol policy enforcement.
