Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and ten (10) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading comprehensive EHS programs in a complex, regulated organization.
• Experience implementing enterprise EHS information systems, analytics, dashboards, and performance-management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for DEHS and integrate governance with university priorities.
• Advise senior leaders on significant EHS risks, regulatory developments, and compliance matters.
• Establish enterprise EHS governance framework including policies, internal controls, and standards.
• Oversee research and teaching laboratory safety, biosafety, radiation safety, chemical safety, and occupational health coordination.
• Direct institutional preparedness, response, and recovery for significant EHS events.
