Job summary

The City of Goodyear is seeking an experienced Economic Development professional to lead business attraction, expansion, and redevelopment initiatives within targeted industries. You will manage development projects, conduct market research, and develop marketing materials to position Goodyear for investment and job creation.

You will collaborate with city departments, regional partners, and the development community, representing the city at events and presenting recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Minimum three years in a related field.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex development documents.
• CRM software experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates economic development initiatives for business attraction, expansion, retention, and redevelopment.
• Manages development projects from prospect engagement to completion and serves as primary liaison to stakeholders.
• Develops and implements marketing and outreach strategies to promote the city’s competitive advantages.
• Conducts market and industry research to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Represents the city in meetings, conferences, and industry events; prepares professional presentations and proposals.
• Collaborates with city departments, regional/state partners, and the development community to advance opportunities.
