Responsibilities

• Stay on top of market pricing, product trends, promotions, and supply and demand.
• Decide when to buy, wait, or pass on a deal, and determine stock quantities.
• Build and maintain a broad network of direct distributors, wholesalers, traders, and suppliers.
• Maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Take ownership of the financial outcomes of each purchase from sourcing to stock.
• Monitor inventory, sales trends, and market prices to manage stock levels.
• Coordinate with sales and purchasing teams before buying and when inventory needs selling.
• Communicate purchases, risks, and opportunities clearly; keep records of suppliers and results.
