Lumicera is hiring a Specialist, Drug Procurement to manage day-to-day procurement and reconciliation of pharmacy inventory across Lumicera and its affiliates. This role ensures timely availability of inventory and supports cost improvements through standardized procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Medication Inventory management and procurement.
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting with inventory responsibilities.
• Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing apps, incl. Microsoft products.
• Support compliance objectives and collaborate with teammates.
• The ability to interact cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily purchasing tasks including order placement, tracking and inventory management.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions and dashboards.
• Reconcile invoices against inventory receipts to resolve shortages/overages.
• Verify purchase orders in the inventory system align with invoices.
• Monitor vendor agreements for compliance and volume commitments.
• Ensure inventory availability aligns with operations needs.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and seek cost savings opportunities.
• Use data analytics to improve procurement processes and costs.
• Refine procurement strategies to meet changing needs and market conditions.
• Track pull-through and align inventory with sales forecasts.
