Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking a senior leader to manage the District Attorney Division's personnel assets, growth, budget, and culture. You will work with District Attorney executives to shape strategic programs and ensure alignment with county policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus several years of supervisory experience, and a background check with RAP Back enrollment. You will guide budgeting, staffing, and program development across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus six (6) years of related experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Education may not substitute supervisory experience.
• Must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the RAP Back program per County HR policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists in overall division leadership by providing input in planning, staffing, program development, budgeting, and division operations.
• Assists with and implements strategic initiatives and goals for the division.
• Keeps the Division Administrator apprised of organizational climate, identifies problems, and provides consultative assistance.
• Oversees, directs, and provides continuous oversight for the development and operation of assigned programs.
• Evaluates staffing resource allocation and suggests effective service delivery adjustments.
• Assists with monitoring and managing the division budget.
• Directs hiring, firing, promotions, orientation, training, performance appraisals, and discipline through managers and supervisors.
• Assists with policy/procedure development and implementation for effective management and operation of the division.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
