Job summary

SPLENDORA ISD in Splendora, TX seeks a Trip Coordinator to manage all district transportation for extracurricular trips. You will plan, schedule, assign personnel and vehicles, and communicate with campuses, coaches, sponsors, drivers, and Transportation Administration to keep trips safe, timely, and cost-efficient.

The role requires strong organization, proactive communication, ability to juggle priorities, and thorough record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Texas CDL Class A or B with P and S Endorsements required.
• Successful completion of behind-the-wheel training and Texas School Bus Certification.
• DOT medical, drug/alcohol testing and clean driving record required.
• Experience with district trip management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all district transportation requests from submission to trip completion.
• Schedule buses, drivers, and support vehicles to meet deadlines.
• Communicate with campuses, sponsors, coaches, drivers, and Transportation Admin.
• Verify vehicle availability, seating and accessibility requirements.
• Maintain trip paperwork, records, and billing documentation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce district costs and improve efficiency.
• Serve as emergency transportation contact during evenings and weekends.
