Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Operations Manager for its distribution center in Perrysburg, Ohio. The role oversees inbound Receiving, Replenishment, Put-away and Split Case Stocking, and outbound Shipping, Case Picking, RX and Specialty Picking, ensuring safety, cost efficiency and service levels.

You will lead Function Managers, mentor staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA and FDA regulations, while driving process improvements and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience in a distribution, warehousing or logistics environment.
• At least 2 years of experience with distribution product flow.
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (e.g. SUM, borders, charts, sort, etc.).
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Executes and supports strategic plans as directed by the Manager of Operations and General Manager.
• Provides strategic goals and direction to Function Managers; coordinates with all levels and shifts to meet DC pyramid goals.
• Develops reviews and recommends methods of operational improvement involving equipment, systems and practices; emphasizes safety.
• Manages volume and work through supervision of employee movement to meet service, cost and quality requirements.
• Mentors and develops Function Managers and employees through training, communicates policies and procedures while building morale.
