Job summary

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) seeks a Senior Director, Contracts and Administration, to lead procurement and contract activities across the Affordable Housing Corporation. You will drive end‑to‑end sourcing, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide executive leadership to procurement staff.

You will partner with the VP and Directors to align procurement with organizational goals, manage risk, and optimize processes using SAP and SFS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive procurement management experience, ideally in public sector.
• At least 4 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong writing and collaboration skills for cross‑functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and oversight of procurement methodologies (RFPs, RFQs, etc.).
• Shape strategic direction of procurement, contract administration, and related admin functions.
• Serve as VP backup, represent procurement in meetings, ensure continuity of operations.
