Job summary

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) seeks a Director of Award Pre-Proposal Support (APPS) to strengthen system-wide research development across CUNY. The role reports directly to the RFCUNY president and provides high-value centralized services and training to enable greater faculty-initiated external proposal submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of grant administration and/or research development in a university setting.
• Master's degree required; PhD preferred.
• Experience with federal funding regulations and pre-award processes.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders across campuses.

Responsibilities

• Promote sponsored project development across CUNY by assisting faculty, students, and staff in external funding.
• Support campus grants offices with proposal development and advisory review.
• Provide training and outreach on grant opportunities and agency guidelines.
• Oversee databases (Pivot-RP, GrantForward) and coordinate with external agencies.
