Job summary

IREN is seeking a Director, People Relations & Business Enablement to lead the People & Culture function across multiple business units, reporting to the VP - People, Culture & Community. You will guide workforce planning, employee relations, and leadership development.

You will manage a team of HR professionals, partner with Legal and Compliance, and drive scalable programs across North America and other regions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive HR experience with employee relations and business partnering leadership.
• Experience leading HRBP, employee relations, or people partnering functions in a complex, geographically dispersed organization.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing sensitive investigations and executive-level employee matters.
• Experience advising senior executives on workforce strategy and organizational design.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business priorities and growth plans.
• Lead employee relations activities including investigations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Provide guidance to leaders on complex people matters, organizational change, and risk mitigation.
• Lead and develop a team of People & Culture professionals across operations, corporate functions, and international groups.
• Support workforce planning, organizational design, restructures, and business transformation initiatives.
• Drive scalable employee lifecycle programs including onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to ensure compliant employment practices.
• Manage people-related aspects of acquisitions, integrations, site expansions, and major change initiatives.
• Develop programs to strengthen leadership capability, manager effectiveness, and employee engagement.
• Use people insights to identify risks and improve decision-making.
