Job summary

AMS Impact Group provides critical operational leadership to Academies of Math and Science (AMS) schools, overseeing facilities, compliance, transportation, and student programs. The Director of Operations partners with school and network leadership to ensure safe, efficient operations and high standards of accountability.

The role emphasizes strong project management, multi-site coordination, and development of SOPs to streamline workflows and strengthen operational controls across Arizona,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Public Administration, Education, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in operations, facilities management, compliance, or school administration.
• Experience coordinating vendors, facilities services, or contracted service providers.
• Experience with student information systems, particularly PowerSchool, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational, compliance, facilities, and program functions for safe, efficient school operations.
• Lead regulatory oversight, health and fire inspections, and safety plan maintenance.
• Manage vendor relationships and facilities services, including repairs and building maintenance.
• Coordinate transportation, field trips, aftercare, athletics, and student programs operations.
• Provide onboarding and training for operations staff; maintain SOPs and process improvements.
