Show Low Unified School District is seeking a Director of Business Operations to lead the Business Services Department and manage district finances, payroll, and procurement.

The role collaborates with Human Resources to ensure data integrity, prepares the annual budget and financial reports, and ensures compliance with all financial regulations. Strong leadership and communication are essential to support district goals and educational priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in school district leadership or equivalent operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting and budgeting practices.
• Familiarity with USFR (Arizona) and related state reporting.
• Proficiency with computerized accounting systems; Visions preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Must possess IVP fingerprint clearance and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Business Services Department and staff.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and staff development.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure payroll and staffing data accuracy.
• Oversee payroll functions and maintain accurate records.
• Manage district finances, payments, and procurement processes.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for the School Board and administration.
• Develop the district budget and annual financial report.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations.
• Oversee grants management and state/federal reporting.
• Coordinate with grants/state programs for accurate oversight.
• Support cross-department alignment of financial operations with goals.
• Serve as liaison for state-m mandated audits and compliance.
