Job summary

New Trier District seeks a Director of Business Services to provide leadership over accounting, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, grants, and related financial operations district-wide. You will advise leadership, forecast scenarios, and drive process improvements while ensuring sound fiscal stewardship and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an advanced degree in finance or accounting, a CSBO or CPA, and at least five years of supervisory experience in public education or government finance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Illinois CSBO endorsement or CPA required.
• Minimum 5 years in business, finance, or related operations; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the district.
• Direct accounting, payroll, purchasing, and compliance functions with strong internal controls.
• Lead staff development and continuous improvement of business processes and systems.
• Present financial information to the Board and leadership for strategic decisions.
