Job summary

Humana is seeking a Director of Data Science to transform vast data sources into advanced analytic solutions. The role leads cross-functional initiatives, develops models, and provides strategic insights to drive business decisions and performance.

The position requires substantial leadership and expertise in statistical methods, data management, and communicating complex results to executives. Occasional travel and a focus on consumer experience improvement are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline and 6+ years of experience in leadership.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience leveraging large structured and unstructured data to derive insights.
• Experience developing and validating statistical forecasting models and tools.
• Experience interpreting analytic results to executives and partners.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and collect structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
• Create reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics.
• Drive decisions related to new or updated programs and large-scale projects across functions.
• Implement strategic plans, drive goals and improve performance, and contribute to function strategy.
