Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) is seeking its next Director of Financial Planning and Budgets. The Director will lead the budget development, financial planning, forecasting, and analytics across the University to align resources with priorities and sustain long-term finances.

Responsibilities include multi-year planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and reporting, plus guiding resource allocation and budget governance in line with UNC System and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and five or more years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's with supervisory experience and five or more years.
• Experience in a complex operational environment, preferably in higher education.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Banner by Ellucian.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual, multi-year, and long-range financial planning and budgeting.
• Oversee forecasting, modeling, scenario analysis, dashboards, and reporting.
• Provide leadership for strategic resource allocation, budget administration, and performance monitoring.
• Support budget policies and reporting in line with university and state requirements.
• Lead the budget team and collaborate with senior leaders across the University.
