Sutro Biopharma, Inc. is seeking a Director of Clinical Data Management to lead the CDM function across our development portfolio.

You will set strategy, standards, and operating approaches for collecting, reviewing, and delivering reliable data supporting safety and regulatory submissions. The role combines portfolio‑level leadership with hands‑on review of study designs, data issues, and database readiness, partnering with Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Pharmacovigilance, and Regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive CDM experience including leadership of complex studies.
• Expertise in EDC design/validation, data review, and data reconciliation.
• Knowledge of ICH/GCP and CDISC (CDASH/SDTM); regulatory submission support preferred.
• Oncology/early‑phase trials experience strongly preferred.
• Experience selecting and governing CROs and data vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the CDM strategy, standards, and quality metrics across programs.
• Oversee data management from start-up to database lock and archival.
• Lead vendor governance and CRO/data vendor oversight.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and inspection support.
• Mentor team members and external partners as the function grows.
