American Electric Power Co. seeks a Director of Capital Portfolio Governance to lead enterprise-wide capital governance. You will ensure investments are evaluated, documented, and aligned with budgets and policy, while supporting executive decisions.

The role requires extensive experience in finance with a focus on capital planning, governance, and cross-functional collaboration, including Board material preparation and risk oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Engineering.
• 10+ years in finance, accounting, FP&A, capital planning or related field with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience with capital budgeting, forecasting, governance, and executive decision support.

Responsabilités

• Lead enterprise capital portfolio governance across lines of business and corporate functions.
• Prepare Board resolutions and supporting financial materials; monitor capital plans and spend.
• Coordinate SOX controls, risk mitigation, and portfolio reporting for senior management.
