Job summary

CSUMB is seeking an Associate Director of Business Operations and Support Services in Monterey Bay. This management role leads the department's business operations, budgeting, and administrative services to support Facilities Management and the university mission.

The position oversees budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and contracts, while coordinating HR processes and data analysis. It emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and continuous improvement within a dynamic academic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or a closely related field.
• Equivalent to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
• Experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of public administration and organizational management in higher education or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Oversee financial reporting and contract administration in collaboration with campus partners.
• Coordinate HR recruitment, classification, payroll, and personnel actions with HR.
• Direct Work Control and enterprise system optimization for operations.
• Develop dashboards and reports to support decision making and accountability.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and foster a customer-focused culture.
