The Director will build donor relationships, identify opportunities, and translate the school’s vision into compelling opportunities for donors and partners. The position emphasizes big-picture strategy and strong community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 3+ years staff-level fundraising experience.
• Or an equivalent combination totaling 7 years of related education/experience.
• Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel to meetings at other sites.

Responsibilities

• Raises funds from external constituencies. Manages an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects, engages and cultivates current and prospective donors, and directly solicits donors for major gifts and stewards donor relationships.
• Organizes and implements development strategy internally. Prepares and implements development plans for the college or unit. Develops leadership within the unit's fundraising-oriented advisory or volunteer organizations.
• Documents development efforts, builds a donor pipeline and identifies potential funding sources; maintains donor prospect records per university standards.
• May supervise full- or part-time support personnel and/or interns and supports university-level priorities in corporate sponsorship and events.
