Job summary

Diocese of Harrisburg seeks a Director of Development/Advancement for Holy Name of Jesus School in Harrisburg, PA. This exempt, salaried role directs a comprehensive development program, engages parish and school communities, and reports to the pastor and/or principal.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, fundraising campaigns, alumni relations, and endowment initiatives. The Director leads public relations, recruitment of donor support, and collaboration with the Parish/School

Qualifications

• Fund development knowledge and ability to implement development efforts.
• Experience with fundraising planning and donor relations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Pastor/Principal in implementing the educational mission and development plan for the parish and school.
• Directs the parish/school Development Plan with annual and 3–5 year goals and objectives.
• Develops and publishes a written case statement about Catholic education and the parish/school philosophy and mission.
• Establishes a comprehensive public relations and communications plan engaging parents, faculty, alumni, and local leaders.
• Plans, directs, and assures the Annual Appeal/Fund Program and donor campaigns.
• Coordinates the Alumni Association and Endowment Fund to grow donor involvement.
