Responsibilities

• Conduct market, industry, competitor, and business trend research to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends that may impact organizational growth
• Analyze financial, operational, and market data to support strategic planning and business decisions
• Support evaluation of potential acquisitions, partnerships, investments, new markets, and other business development opportunities
• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, dashboards, and recommendations summarizing key findings and strategic opportunities
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, and other functional leaders to gather information and assess strategic opportunities
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and overall organizational performance
• Maintain databases and analytical models used to track market intelligence, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives

JOB SUMMARY

As the Strategic Development Analyst, you will support the organization’s strategic growth objectives through research, financial and market analysis, business development support, and evaluation of strategic opportunities. This position partners with leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, evaluate potential investments and partnerships, and develop actionable insights that support informed business decisions. The Strategic Development Analyst combines analytical, financial, and business skills to translate data into recommendations and support the execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential functions

• Conduct market, industry, competitor, and business trend research to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends that may impact organizational growth
• Analyze financial, operational, and market data to support strategic planning and business decisions
• Support evaluation of potential acquisitions, partnerships, investments, new markets, and other business development opportunities
• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, dashboards, and recommendations summarizing key findings and strategic opportunities
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, and other functional leaders to gather information and assess strategic opportunities
• Support the development and implementation of annual and long-term strategic plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and overall organizational performance
• Maintain databases and analytical models used to track market intelligence, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives
• Develop presentations and other materials for executive leadership, board-level discussions, and strategic planning meetings
• Track strategic initiatives, milestones, deliverables, and business outcomes to help ensure successful execution
• Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by executive leadership
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, strategic, client, employee, and organizational information
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions

Physical demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Travel required

• Limited travel may be requested for attending events, conferences, or internal meetings

Required education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or a related field required
• 2 – 5 years of experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, business development, consulting, corporate development, investment analysis, or a related field
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data and translating findings into actionable recommendations
• Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and business case development

Preferred education and experience

• Master’s degree or MBA preferred
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leaders preferred.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, or corporate development is a plus
