Job summary

The City of San José Aviation Department seeks a Deputy Director Planning and Development for the San José Mineta International Airport (SJC). This role leads a 25 FTE team and guides multi-discipline airport projects within the Airport Capital Development Program, delivering complex initiatives.

Qualifications

• Six years of increasingly responsible experience in senior administrative/analytic work.
• Experience managing a work unit equivalent to a major division within a City operating department is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as executive manager and negotiator for major capital development projects.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with Airport divisions, partners, regulators, and City departments.
• Coordinate FAA funding efforts and compliance with the Airport Improvement Program.
